Athletic/Performance Psychology

Sport Psychology is an important and an integral part of athletic performance. It utilizes various psychological skills and tools to contribute to an athlete's well-being and performance. Mental and emotional skills require practice and rehearsal, like any physical skill development. Sport Psychology sessions can range from 60-90 minutes depending on the focus, need and request.

Sessions can include different therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Biofeedback Training, and Mindfulness Training.

Kaylie will utilize different clinical tools, such as personality testing, visualization and imagery to explore what potential barriers and assets you possess to help you navigate high pressure performance situations. Whether you are exploring pre-game/competition preparation, how to increase performance while tuning out the various "noise" that can filter in, or preparing for future tryouts, competitions, or tournaments, Sport Psychology can help train your mind and emotions for optimal success.

Kaylie is also available to speak to teams and organizations upon request.

Sport has always been an integral part of Kaylie's life. She has been an avid soccer player all of her life, playing at the provincial level and in the Major League in Calgary, Alberta. She continues to play recreationally. Now you can also find her on the field coaching youth soccer. She has various designations through the NCCP, inclusive of her Active Start, Fundamentals, Learn to Train,  and C License Certification.
